Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a chronic and often painful condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows outside the uterus. This abnormal tissue growth can occur on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, outer surfaces of the uterus, and other organs within the pelvis. Endometriosis can lead to a range of symptoms and complications, and its severity can vary widely among individuals.
